Studying late at night or early in the morning?

It's late here and I can't sleep. So, I opened my study book and do a few readings. Before when I was in college, I usually wake-up at 3am to study. Makes me absurb more what I'm reading and it's peaceful. For you what is the best time to study?

in school days, my routine was studying at night, but not too late in the night. Therefore, I could have a quick preparation in the morning :)

Psychologists say that the best time to study is right before you go to bed. So I did that often.

I just read or study whenever I am in the mood. I don't force myself hard. I am easy go lucky type during my school days then... haha.

It depends on the situation and place too. But usually when the temperature is cold and comfortable, then my idea or motivation goes flowing.. So the temperature cold can be late night or very early morning like 5-7am.
