This is the fourth earthquake in the week.

I was so warm in my bed, half asleep this morning. It was cold out so I was not planning on moving.
Suddenly, there was a mild to medium earthquake. Jeeezzz! I got up, went to take out the alarm, opened a bit the dining room door out to the garden and went to pee.
This is the 4th one during the week near where I live so even if it´s mild (4.6 Richter now) I started to wonder. Leter on, in reading the news, I read that there had been a bigger one near the Easter Island (Isla de Pascua).
Earthquakes are not my idea of a fun way to start the day, friends. Do you have them where you live?

@marguicha Ireland doesn’t suffer them but where I grew up they were frequent. Do you have an earthquake plan for when they happen?

When we lived in California, we had them. Even the after shocks were bad.

The earth is also showing its disgust for what people have done to it.

@LadyDuck Yes. When I hear about how the Amazon forest has been destroyed in these last years it shocks me.

@marguicha This is my opinion, we polluted, cut the trees, destroyed the forest and now the earth is showing its disgust.

Fortunately I am used to them. What scared me was that the alarm was on and my door to the outside stuck.

@amadeo Enough so as to shout a bad word in Spanish and turn off the alarm.

We don't have them here. Well, hardly ever. I'm glad your house is well-built.

Four earthquakes in a week is a lot. Why is it happening? Very rare that we have them in NYC.

We have them very rarely. The largest one that I remember was 5.0.

We call that "mild to medium". Sometimes I am aware of them, sometimes I am not. The big ones are over 7.

yes, I used to experience it a lot. at that time I was still first grade in senior high school. the earthquake was very strong, maybe more than 7 SR. As a result, I was traumatized, if there was a slight tremor it surprised me.

We get them stemming from volcano on Big Island. I usually can't feel them. It is very disquieting to feel them!
