How do some manage to write many posts a day on a regular basis?

There are days when I have no idea what to write about. Or I get a thought in my head for something to write about and then reject the idea, thinking no one will care.
And then I see people who post many discussions a day. Not two or three but a lot more. And sometimes within a very short time period between posts. How the heck do they do manage to do that?
I guess, they don't worry about what they are posting about or its quality or length. They don't worry or think about how many responses/comments the post will get. They just post, no matter what it is...

I tend not to write a lot of posts per day here. Just because I choose not to. But at the end of the day I do not consider this to be a 'writing' site. In other words, quality and length are unimportant. In fact, the more quality the post and the lengthier it is, the more it is inclined to fail here. So, many people just write about their day or about what they are eating, or whatever comes to mind. Since our minds are always on when we are awake, some people simply put those thoughts into words and that equates to a multitude of daily posts.

It may not be a writing site but technically we still have to write. It is interesting how more people will respond to a post about food, weather, or some daily task, stuff like that than about something meaningful or informative. And more will respond to a short post than a long one. Not all the time. But often enough. Also, I remember there were instances when I posted something and wanted many responses because I was asking for help with something or needed advice on something and hardly anyone responded. And then posts I didn't think would get much responses got many. You just never know.

@porwest It seems to me that many posts here are not discussions either. They are more blog-type posts or even social media-type updates in some cases. I've seen people post long discussions that have lots of informative content and those don't seem to get that many responses unless it's a popular mylotter or one with a huge following. I also found that a lengthy thought out post will most likely get less responses than a short post that the mylotter didn't put much thought into. But maybe I am wrong.

@lovebuglena Well, I tend to think people need to realize what the site actually is. I have long held it is not a writing site. It is a social media site not unlike Twitter or Facebook really. It's about interaction more than it is about anything else. And that means we talk back and forth about things just like we would in real life. I do not expect to come here to learn about the ancient Mayan ruins. But if Mary, a friend of mine, had a little experience she wanted to share, I might want to engage in that and talk about that. I think it's why we call them discussions. Not articles.

I am a writer and I love doing my own discussions. But interacting is fun. I love it when I leave a response on someone's discussion and we can have a long conversation in it. And same for a response someone leaves on my discussion.

@sophie09 It's not about being confused. It's either having to deal with writers' block or not being sure what to write about... Everyone faces that, writer or not.

@lovebuglena good then if you are a writer then you dont have to be confused about what to write on a discussion

Not to mention that the recent discussions page is filled up with their posts...

And usually those that post many posts a day have very short posts.

@lovebuglena Oh,yes, and the good posts which are worth reading are pushed to the bottom of the list.

Not only do I have so many days that I can't think of anything to write a post about, most of the time I'm way behind in my notifications and spend all my time trying to get through them. When I have over 400 notifications to get through, I don't want to write a post that causes me to get even more notifications. I don't know how some people manage to do it. Writing one post a day is hard enough, but there are some users here who will write 3-5 posts every day.

@lovebuglena Yes, I delete my notifications as soon as I respond to them. That's the only way I can keep track of what I've been through and what I haven't been through.

3-5 posts a day is nothing. Some write close to ten or way more than that in one day.

What I found is that when I log in and I see that I have x amount of notifications it doesn't mean they are all new. There are those already taken care of that go into that number that I never deleted after dealing with it as I never delete notifications. Do you delete yours? And I never get that many notifications, ever.

I don't write new posts every day but I admire those that have inspiration to write more than one everyday.

I try to write at least one every day but doesn't always happen. I try not to force writing a discussion if I am not feeling it, dislike what I am wriiting, or just can't decide on what to write.

@lovebuglena I also don't write a new discussion every day, maybe that is why my earnings are high here.

@nela13 Not writing a discussion shouldn't result in higher earnings. I'd think you'd have lower earnings, unless you do nothing but interact for many hours.

I am just signed up in this platform today, and already have 3 posts. I don't know if i have to write a quite long words, and don't know what kind of a good post to publish. Ofcourse, i want to get responses/comments. I tend to ask to create discussion. Is that okay?

@elthnad For me, I don't necessarily have a preference. As long as the post is interesting I will read it no matter how long it is. Unless I am tired.

There is no length requirement here. Your posts can be as short or as long as you want them to be. That means short posts are fine and many prefer that here to long posts. However, if you do short posts don't just write only a few lines or just ask a one line question and that's it.

I don't know, I can't think of that much stuff to post. In fact sometimes reading someone else's post, I get an idea.

Sometimes that happens to me. I read something and get an idea of what to write about in my discussion.

It's not just about time but about figuring out or knowing what to write about.

They are imaginative
They are creative
They will not be able to respond on this, because they are busy creating their own
On serious note, Such discussion creators have topics on their daily routine, and how that impacted them. And you will have at least 1 response on the discussion. It's vary rare that you will not have a response.
Some are like they want 20 response on 1, so they take time to create a discussion.
Some are like they will have 10 discussions with 2 responses.
I am not sure how that make any difference in earnings.
I usually prefer to comment on discussions then creating my own. Since it takes lots of head scratching

I'd rather have less discussions and more responses on each, than many discussions with few responses.

I guess when a person doesn't care what they write about they can bang out discussion after discussion easily.

Yes. I know of people like this. I usually just "like" the posts that have no content and only comment on the ones that I feel I can add something to. Have a great Sunday.

That's the way to go, although sometimes even a like shouldn't be given.

I do more responding than making my own post. Sometimes I don't see how people make so many post in a day when I don't have anything going through my head lol.

Yeah, I am baffled about that. I guess every little thing that happens to you during the day or week or that you heard or saw you can write about in a separate discussion...

But enough times you can't really respond to those kinds of posts, except with a short and/or generic comment.

I don't like posting something just for the sake of posting. If I try to write a discussion but I am not feeling it I just move on and don't post anything.
