Yes.
There will be a big change in our house.
Last end of June, my husband and his sister decided to have some renovations here. Since we own the house, my sister-in-law shoulder most of of the expenses. We added an extension room before the garage that connects the main house through the lanai.
This room will be for my parents-in-law. Soon they will be moving here with us.
That is the big change!
They are very much affected by the pandemic, my father-in-law lost his source of income and they're house rent already piled up. They are still there but they can move here anytime soon.
Am I ready? I do not know.

@rakski glad to hear that the 7-day trial has been good. Hihihihi
How old are they by the way? I think most in-laws are hard to deal with... hihihi

@rakski you remind me of the time when my wife's mother was living with us. My wife was always exasperated with the bad attitude of her mother. People think that I am the son because she was closer to me. I always think that my wife will not be here if not for her. That is the key to my patience.

I'm sorry to hear that he lost his source of income. Even my brother in law. I wanted to tell them they can go home and live with my father but they are 4-5 hours bus ride from their rented house.

your in laws are lucky that you are willing to have them come and live with you. It's sad that their income has been affected by the pandemic. I hope you all get along well and this change works out for everyone

now i know why your SIL paid most of the expenses - i read it in the comments hahaha!
seriously, though, that's a really big responsibility because not just one in law, but both.
how about the increase in utility bills, grocery, cleaning supplies? will SIL also pitch in?

that is yet to discuss. I am hoping that they will give us additional expenses. My MIL cannot sleep without A/C seriously. For the past seven days she has been here, she always end up in the kids' room at night because it is hot in their newly built room
