It is rainy season here and the vegetables are growing faster with a good harvest every day. The okra or lady finger will be boiled (for 2 minutes only) and be eaten with a dip of vinegar and shrimp paste. It is best to be matched with fried fish or fried meat.

That's one of my favorite veggies. But I fry them in butter or grill them instead. Even my kids like them.

@Alexandoy You should try to grill them if you're into healthy eating. Fried is not actually healthy but it tastes very good.

@cherriefic I think my brother did the grilling before that he wrapped the okra in banana leaf.

We had got the Okra seeds and had tried to grow them at home. Yet they did not grow even after efforts.
This is one of my summer favorite veggie, and I like to have it with curd and Roti(Indian Bread).

Be sure that the okra seeds are matured which means the pod should be brown and not greenish anymore,. Plant it under 3 inches on the ground and water it everyday.

The very matured ones are for the seeds. You can store the seeds in a bottle for planting.
