I got to my usual cemetery very early one morning. And freestanding in the pond munching on lily pads and whatever else they wanted was a whole family of white tailed deer!
There were 2 males or stage with their new antlers still in velvet, 2 does and 2 little adorable baby fawns!
I liked watching the little ones as this experience was new to them.. One of them could be seen jumping up.. Like ew. Something touched my leg.. And then he would jump and run to get away. It was really funny!
I was able to get a few half way decent photos.
Here is one of them.
Aren't they adorable? I love going out early in the morning and watching them it is so peaceful when no one else is around.. And knowing you are the only one witnessing this beauty!
Hope you all can get some enjoyment out of this too.

@amitkokiladitya No. it's only a little spooky if you walk into the woods alone. or if one of those deer is very bold and starts walking toward you.. then I get a little nervous.. but I love going to this place I go about 4 times a week.

@rhuenz yes, we have hunters that hunt deer here too. They are only allowed to hunt during certain times of the year. but these deer being in an enclosed cemetery. (although they are free to leave when they want) are safe from hunters.

Deers always graze in large groups but usually they don't venture close to human settlement. Lucky that you were able to see a family of deers so close.

these guys live (for the most part) in this LARGE cemetery. so they are used to seeing humans daily with no one hunting them. They are in the largest (of three) ponds in the cemetery and way in the back so they were still safe from the humans!
