In human society the handicapped and differently abled people are often ignored and not given the same respect as an abled person.
They face difficulties in their everyday life while using public transport, public toilet, shopping and even public gatherings where no one bothers to give them a helping hand.
this has to change and everyone needs to be respected regardless of their disability.
Do you agree ?

In this country there are loads of stairs and not enough of those ramps to make it easier for them to get around the image says everything.

What they ignore all those that build those places with so many stairs is that wheelchairs cannot climb up stairs so they place so many limitations on them.

Yes most handicap people find it difficult to climb stairs at public places and using transport services. Ramp arrangements must be made.

Giving money to poor handicapped people is good way to help them. More than the money they want little help like crossing the road, climbing a staircase or picking up something on the floor. If we can help them with these little tasks then they would feel happy.

In India handicapped people have ramp facility in most railway stations and airports. They also have special concession while booking train tickets. Reservation on jobs . Toilets in most malls and public place are handicapp friendly but still they face problem while using transport and often need help. They also have to deal will some people who pass comments but these are far fewer due to public awareness programs.

Especially in our country there is no consideration for them in public places.I saw in foreign countries they have ramps, lifts and many things keeping their needs in mind. Also there are cars and vehicles suited for them to stay independent and they get a separate paring lot so that they are close to entrances. We need to sensitize the society for them. We should create awareness for an inclusive society.

@jayanth_77 I totally agree with you. I work as special educator and deal with children with challenges. And I volunteer for a fund raising for a blind school and a resident program for physically and intellectually challenged people.

I absolutely agree with you! And just because a person doesn't 'look' sick, doesn't mean they aren't. I have heard of people yelling at someone for parking in a handicap space because they didn't look like there was anything wrong with them. Even though they had a handicap sticker on their car. That is so wrong.

Yes . We must consider a handicap person also as a human being. We must not treat them differently but equally .
