I was just sitting on my balcony drinking coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. Suddenly, there was a buzz and I saw a little hummingbird. We have a white bird cage that is hung up and the hummingbird flew around it for a moment. Then, it hovered almost right in front of my face, looking at me and then it was off again. Such a great way to start my day. I'm still waiting on my tablet. It was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday but towards the end of the day, the delivery date had changed to today. Although I understand that some deliveries are slowed because of covid-19, I hate when they change the date. But, it is what it is. There's nothing much going on here today. We have a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon. We really need the rain. It's been slightly less humid which is nice for a change but it's going back to the 90s next week. What do you have planned today and this weekend? It's the same old thing here. Cooking, cleaning and relaxing. **photo is from Pixabay**

I hope your tablet arrives today. All deliveries are later than expected. Today is laundry day. My son just called, so I'll be leaving soon.

@just4him I'm happy to hear that. Now, if I could only get my son to talk to me. I've tried everything I can think of. I guess the only thing I can do is leave him alone and pray, pray and pray even more.

That was a very nice encounter that you shared this morning. I love hummingbirds too. Our weather has been pretty nice, but today the heat and humidity will start to creep back in and I believe that they forecast more for the weekend.

I went out and finished mowing the lawn this morning, I thought not to wait the afternoon because today and tomorrow are supposed to be very hot days.

@LadyDuck We got a lot of rain yesterday and last night from Hurricane Laura. Although we are supposed to have a cool front come in after this, it won't last long because heat and humidity will return.

@thelme55 That's good that you are having a cooler day. Right now, it's morning and our temp is only 75F but our humidity is at 89%. I can't even go out on our balcony like I usually do.
