Becoming an adult is more like a new stage of our lives. Do you agree? When we start working and earning a lot of money that's when we start knowing what really stress means right? And there are many factors that affects our health as well and when we reach the doctor's clinic because of the sudden illness we felt, we became more conscious of our health. Once we start talking to our doctor we realize becoming an adult is not really easy. There are many factors that we should consider and needs to be controlled over, specially our diet for the sake of our health. Because our food is the outcome of our physical self. Knowing that the cholesterol level should be controlled, I feel sad about it because I told myself that I can't feast over pounds of grilled steak and fried chicken anymore. Because they are the BAD cholesterol also know as the Low density lipoprotein(LDL). But there is a good news! Bad cholesterol levels can be controlled by consuming the right food. Can you imagine that? We can still control cholesterol level by eating the GOOD cholesterol containing food. Not by starving yourself (Yes it's effective but it's not easy specially when we are working. We starve right?). Good cholesterol containing food acts like a janitor that cleaning up all the bad cholesterol blocking our arteries and veins and also good for the heart.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my favorite good cholesterol food 'Ginataang tulingan' or Tuna Mackerel in coconut milk. It's rich in Omega 3 also known as the good cholesterol. This is a very famous dish here in the Philippines where I live. Many locals love this dish. This kind of tuna specifically is called skipjack tuna because there are many varieties of tuna. Aside from this dish I also love 'Sinigang na salmon' or Salmon head in sour tamarind soup. Also a local dish here. Salmon is the meat of the rainbow trout fish. It's a fatty fish when caught from the ocean, the fattier the better because those fats obtains the high concentration of omega 3. The third dish is the Japanese sushi 'Sashimi' with wasabe dip. Such an elegant dish I've ever met. It was made from raw yellow fin tuna. What about you? What is your favorite dish? Is it a bad or good cholesterol food?

It's a medical term used to identify the differences of the protein substances that we get from meat. LDL low density lipoprotein also known as the bad cholesterol and HDL high density lipoprotein also known as the good cholesterol.
