Dancing in masks

We had a busier-than-usual day yesterday. Now we’ve retired, life is very laid-back for us mostly. However, yesterday the solar panels were hooked up to the grid and are now working. We can log in on the phone or computer to see how much we’re using and how much power is being generated. Although the sun wasn’t too high in the sky, the power generated covered using the toaster and microwave this morning.
Also yesterday, two friends brought a caravan out to be stored. The wife of one sent some wool for me to crochet into something so I’ll need to think about what I want to do with it.
While they were still here, another friend arrived with her partner and, as it turned out, all six of us had mutual connections. It’s a small world sometimes. The lady friend has done ballroom dancing most of her life but is thinking of giving it up soon. She is worried about a second wave of COVID-19. When she said this, I thought how bizarre it would be to dance while wearing masks. If you had multiple dancing partners, that’s much too close for comfort without masks. Can you imagine dancing in masks?
Photo is of the wool I’ve been given. There might be enough for a cardigan.

If everyone dance while wearing mask, a person will soon suffocate and will be in exhaustion. forget about Corona virus

Pretty cool that it turned out you all had mutual connections.
The colors of the yarn are pretty. If there isn't enough for a cardigan, a vest would be nice.

I’d love to have solar panels. I think that I’ve told you that my grandparents had a solar panel to heat their water. They installed it in the 50’s before I was born.

Imagining a mask party like where we dance with strangers without knowing him/her face like... Ha ha... Surely, not on this Covid Era though.

For some professions especially Acting, Dancing, these times are quite tough.
For some whose work can be fully online, it is still manageable though 5 months plus working from Home is not that easy.
In some terms, being in office was helpful. Switching between home and office needs can be quite painful indeed.
By the way, greetings on your Nature friendly Solar Panel initiative!!

No dancing in masks for me I think. I've only worn a mask for flying, and sitting still was OK but very warm. Sleeping worked well, and moving around in the airport in Helsinki was just annoying.
If you have two or three couples switching with eachother that'd keep it at the same size as the lab-groups in the unversity I work. Seems to work out quite OK, no reports about local clusters because of that yet.

Well yes that would be rather strange dancing in masks.
Nice wool there Judy.

congrats'n yer solar panels! been tryin' to get the hubs to 'gree to 'em fer years 'n he's 'lways said no. e'en now that the cost's gone down, the storage much more 'fficient'n wee, he still says no. i'm thinkin' the sun shines here'n a'erage 342 days out'ta the year, so why the hades not??
wow, so glad y'all got together to visit fer a bit. the hubs knows purty much e'erybody within 500 miles, 'r so't seems. not me, most folks i knew're long gone.
ballroom dancin' whilst wearin' a mask...might be a tad tricky? not too bad though i'm thinkin'. one'd need to get used to 'em i reckon.

@crazyhorseladycx I guess there is a lot of money tied up in making and selling electricity. There are always hidden agendas.

I like the colors on that wool. I think whatever you make with it will look very nice when finished.
I agree that dancing in close proximity without masks would not be a good idea. But I also think it wouldn't be very easy at all to dance with a mask on. I have trouble enough working with one on, it makes breathing so much harder.

@JudyEv I had to wear it while working 8 hours shifts in high heat and humidity. It wasn't very fun at all.
