Homemade Banana Bread is Done

Usually the baking I do is in the cooler weather months. But I had some bananas that needed to be used. Instead of wasting them I decided to bake a loaf of banana bread.
Very easy to bake. I use my dear grandmother's recipe. Mix all the ingredients and throw it the pan. Now it is done. The house smells so good.
I may have to sample it soon. It is good with a little melted butter. Or a scoop of ice cream. But my favorite way is to eat it one slice at a time. Good stuff.
Do you have a favorite dish or dessert you like to make?

Although I do love banana bread, I do not have a good recipe for it so do not bake it.
I do have a lovely recipe for pecan cherry loaf.
I make that at Christmas.
It is nice to have in the mornings if you do not have anywhere to go and can use a little slice as your breakfast.
I made a loaf for our daughter-in-law's sister and for her mother last year. Her mother told me that she enjoyed it so much. It made me feel very grateful as she is such a wonderful cook herself.
Its almost time to hunt up the pumpkin bread recipes, it won't be long until I want some of that handy.

Well we ave some home recipes which we call as "Halwa" - basically sweet things cooked in Ghee(clarified butter).
We have Suji(Indian Semolina- not sure under what name is it sold in US) or Besan(Grounded Chickpeas)Halwas which we like to make.
The Suji one is one which I have prepared a few times myself!

During the last one week of festivity, we had a lot of oily and sweet food.
Now we need to tone down.

Hey turn that bread around, I think I see a tailless unicorn.
I've never made banana bread, mom always did that but one day I will.
I love making almost anything one pot or pan.

That looks wonderful. I recently made butternut squash bread. I used a pumpkin bread recipe. Butternut squash and pumpkin are alike. They are interchangeable in bread recipes.

I love homemade banana bread. When I could still bake, I loved to make lemon meringue pie.

Wow that's really innovative of you to use those bananas rather than throwing it. Thanks for sharing! It does look really good and you have your baked goods ready.

That is delicious.. my favorite dessert before was custard cake, but when I learned how to make one, I don't often eat them as much as I do before
