Usually I eat light meals, as most of you know. Was looking back through my old photos and found this one. A fish meal that was so good.
Last year the buffet was visited often. It was the $5.00 lunch buffet with all homemade food. I talked about it fairly often.
Due to COVID, the doors are closed. I hope they can open again soon. It is sad for many small businesses these days. Some will come back others maybe not.
This fish dinner was a favorite. They usually had it on Friday's. If I can't have it, I can eat least look at the photo I guess. Not sure what I will have for dinner.

It looks really healthy. I love the beans that are part of the dish!

We have a large buffet in our city which can only do delivery or take out orders since March.
I feel sorry for them because they have a huge new building which I am sure will be difficult for them to sell and they cannot be using more then a fraction of the building as they had so many different rooms for dining, all of which are empty now.
I wonder if we will be telling future generations of these great places we used to have to go and eat at called buffets, and then we had covid and they all closed.

@CarolDM I want to say that here they will be for the foreseeable future.
There are about 5 buffets in that chain, and their website allows you to order small portions, almost like a la carte, but less prices, like buying items from a buffet. Time will tell if that idea takes off.

Some of the Golden Corrals here are closed, others are open on the weekend. The ones in Pigeon Forge have staff serve you instead of you serving yourself.

@CarolDM — there are some things that this has improved, to me. The idea of eliminating “self-serve” food (especially kids at the dessert area) is one of them.

@FourWalls Yes, that, along with my appetite, is why I stopped going to buffets. This one I found is local and homemade foods, so good.

We have two buffets in town that are always so good. I haven't driven by them in awhile. I wonder if they are open now.

The food in photo contains 6 different dishes. Are you going to eat them all?

Challenge yourself! Maybe you can make the dish too!
