Baby Boom in 2021: What?!?

I was watching the local news on TV this morning. They are predicting that more babies to come next year due to pandemic. That's a silly thing to say, right? I was thinking that people would not like to have babies because of the current situation. What is your take in this matter? Do you think that couples need to stop having a baby for now? I know they are predicting that but others are saying it's not a good time to be bringing children into the world.

I Agree, jobs of parents is teach and bring them up where they have the best chance to succeed. I just do not see now as a good time to have a baby, but know people still are and do hope they know what they are in for. All I ask because going to take a strong baby to handle the world the way it is now.

@crossbones27 Hopefully they will think hard about whether they really need a child or not.

@JudyEv Personally, it is not really perfect timing to have babies now. You have a point @crossbones27 Parents need to secure their families as much as possible. With the current situation, it will be a big challenge.

l think that is a natural phenomenon that happens after each calamity that claims a lot of life. Plus the fact that many are just around their homes confined so the natural thing to do would be to make babies at times to relieve stress from being confined to homes. So we might have a baby boom from all of this to happen.

@Shavkat I have a cousin that labored in the middle of the lockdown we have couple of months ago. I am just happy that she delivered safely.

This is what I am thinking, too. They are basically locked down at their abodes. At some point, there are issues that some confirmed COVID 19 with pregnant women here.

NOT here in Europe, most people fear to lose their jobs and to have economic problems and most women do not want to go to hospitals.

@LadyDuck It is a good thing now. I hope the locals who are married need to think about this concern.

@Shavkat Here in Switzerland and in Italy the number of pregnant women dropped, they all fear to contaminate the baby and the economic situation is uncertain right now.

I hope couples would take controls because for me it's still scary especially young ones are too fragile.

That is also my concern. Babies cannot have antibodies to fight this virus.

Oh, I definitely think there will be a baby boom. A heck of a lot of couples had to be glued to the hip, whether they liked it or not. And all that time had to lead to you know what.

At some point, the prediction must be true. I mean most of these couples are stuck in the house and they have the chance to love one another. Or, I am just being silly thinking like this.

I guess that a lot of ladies will have a baby born in 2021. Many couples would have been together in bed having a relaxing time. A pregnant lady sees a midwife and some of these haven't been working.

I can see why they would say that because everyone is stuck at home. But yeah I don't want kids and I wouldn't want a kid in these times anyway. My cousin had a baby right before this pandemic happened.

I have a cousin who had a baby girl during the pandemic. It seems he and his wife are having a hard time. I strongly recommend that couples need to consider not having babies at this point in time.

I am not sure if it is related to God's will to bring babies in this world now. Being responsible is to have abstinence and the like to prevent the high incidence of pregnancy. For the reason, that coronavirus is not controlled yet. Ths, babies are still vulnerable to this matter.

I think it's not sensible to have a baby in current situation but I respect their right to have a child, especially if they don't have any.

At some point, it is their choice. If they want babies, they need to protect them from COVID-19.

I also think it is the best time for couples who have been trying for so long.

I think everyone should except good people, tired of bad people having babies. Plus world is over populated, no more babies until you can take care of those alive now. Come on buddy, you know that if funny.
