Learning in a Pandemic Situation

Bandung, Indonesia

As a vocational high school teacher, I am currently teaching students online, remotely. Each class has about 30 students, but only two or three people who actively respond to my teaching. But I think there is nothing more I can do in this pandemic. The limitations of students who do not have regular internet quotas make them unable to access some of the subject matter that I convey. Hopefully this pandemic will pass quickly, and everything can go back to normal.

There is really a big difference in learning from home and in school, I think there is a certain magic or something in school that students learn to behave when the teacher said something or just a simple hand gestures.

@Abaselma that's why teachers are very admirable and very noble profession. They never stop learning and we just hope that kids will do well besides being away from school.

to be precise, is because every teacher is required to have knowledge in teaching students, another factor is that each student will be carried away by an orderly atmosphere and follow every rule imposed in the school

It's very sad that out of 30,only 2 or 3 are responding. This pandemic really affected the lives of many. We'll just pray for the best.

There is a responsibility of the telecom providers to issue data packs at reduced rates for the benefit of students during this times.

What a dismay! You got only 2 or 3 students interested with your online class.

@Abaselma It lacks parents support.

every day one of them always asks me, when can they go back to school? laziness to wake up early and limited internet connection are the obstacles for them to be able to study every morning, because their parents are tired to remind them

Why not try to teach online in an online company?

our orientation is not to teach online, but to keep my students learning and in the classroom atmosphere every day, even if they are at home
