Imagine This in September?

Happy September, friends! I’m off to a late start today, because I slept like a baby last night and didn’t wake up until 8:00AM!!!
I decided to walk and jog to make up for lost exercise time, and have my second load of wash going in the washing machine.
Back to the title of my post ~ while out in my yard with hubs a few minutes ago, we discovered 8 buds on a rhododendron hedge beginning to open!. They only open in late May here as a rule.
We are chalking it up to a mixture of trimming them back and a bit of climate change. There’s no other explanation, but we’re happy to see spring blooms on the first day of September.

Seems like your care for them made the nature confusedAny beautiful bloom is a surprise and especially when it's an untimely one, calls for a celebration. Cheers!

@DianneN The snow should stay away long enough to fully enjoy them.

It is so rare how the world works these days, flowers blooming when they're not supposed to be, climate change etc. Anyway I am happy that you started your day so active Dianne! Hope you have a good day ahead!

@DianneN that is the kind of attitude I love getting from you! Thanks for cheering me up with your comment. Despite of my positivism today I am feeling a little down, but I am doing my best to pick myself up!

Happy new month! I am still learning about the garden rules . . . but seems like a lot of them are being broken! We literally played Dr. Frankenstein with our little garden things - and remarkably they are thriving. We're glad, but it's just weird. Such a pretty bloom . . . does it look like more are trying to come out too?
