Today is Teacher's Day in India (Birthday of Dr. Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and Second President of the Country.). I remembered my teacher today and wished her in the morning. Best part was, this morning our students called and wished my mother & me on the ocassion of teachers day. My mother and I are volunteer teachers with a social and educational institution, we teach children from poor, underprivileged families for free and conduct social programs, food distribution etc. All schools are closed due to corona and only online education is being done, education of poor children is going on very slowly due to lack of computer / smartphone. So we were surprised, but happy that the children remember us. The children were asking when the school would open again? Then we had to explain them according to the circumstances. Strong bond between children and teachers is a very sweet thing.
