I had no plans for today and figured it would be a lazy day.
Then my oldest daughter called and invited us over for a barbecue.
My son in law loves to grill and always does a good job.
I didn't even ask what they were making but I'm happy to get out of the house and enjoy a meal I don't have to plan or cook.
Before I even got the invite I made a cake this morning. Figured my daughter and I would have it as dessert tonight.
Now I'll bring the cake and wont be showing up empty handed.
The weather is gorgeous so it will be nice enough to be outside and enjoy the rest of the day.
How lucky am I

Have a wonderful day. I have no "fun" plans, but may have some fun going through my fabric, etc. after I finish doing up the front yard.

You're very lucky indeed. Enjoy the barbecue.
I need to learn how to grill, I have one but haven't used it.

Good thing you made the cake so now you will have dessert. I do not like to go places empty-handed also. The barbeque sounds nice. I am sure it will be good food and good company.

Sounds wonderful. I haven't done much but work on cleaning my file cabinet and writing my accounting articles.

Have a fun time bonding with family! Those moments seems to be really nice because it's in the spur of the moment. Thanks for sharing!
