Time to be productive

Ireland
September 14, 2020 3:46am CST
Well I decided to take a long weekend this weekend and took Friday off from the studies and spent the day with my mom, we pretty much just spent the day talking and catching up. It was nice. It did however put me a little behind my study schedule which I don't particularly mind because I still have more than enough time to catch up before the exams. But I did decide to hit the books a little early today. I replaced my morning coffee with a bottle of water. Shocking haha its very seldom don't have my morning coffee. Anyway today will be spent studying and looking for some work. Hopefully it all goes well, I hope you all have a great day or night today.

@Bridge94 It's better to be prepared than to be cramming during the exams.

It's good to take a break once in a while and then push a bit to catch up laterAnd spending time with loved ones doing nothing but just chatting is the best quality way to spend your precious time

I'm glad that you and your mom had a nice time together, talking and catching up. It's very rare teens and adult children spend time with each other. It will get better better soon.

Nice to be able to spend time with your mom. I really wish I could spend more time with my folks but we are all living far apart.

@Bridge94 You are right. It is just that there are times I feel so homesick that phone conversations help only a little.

@MOnifty34 I agree with you sometimes the phone calls don't really help, you need to be there with the person. I struggled, and still struggle with that now sometimes. It is an unfortunate part and the only way I've found to deal with it is to take it one day at a time.

@MOnifty That can be the hardest part of living far from your loved ones, its the part I struggled with the most. But it makes you appreciate the time more when you are with them

Thank you, I hope so to. At the moment I'm just looking at part time/temp work, although I will still consider anything that comes up

It's good to have some time off from work or study and relax. Self care is important.
