In many developing countries, many people still buy and eat expired food. This is sad, but the problem of food shortages is still a serious problem in many countries, including my country. Even though the government has tried to eradicate illegal practices like this, but as long as economic problems still befall many people, problems like this will not be resolved.

In the U.S. this happens too, unfortunately. Many food pantries distribute expired food. Luckily, in the U.S. expired food is not usually actually expired, depending on what it is. It has simply gone past its saleable shelf life but is still fine to eat.

While you should be careful about eating expired, anything. It is sad people feel they have no choice but to do so. I myself, try not to eat expired food, because it could make me seriously ill.

A very sad state indeed. It's not good to eat expired foods. They contain toxins and molds which are not good to the body.

On one side of the fence there are people who cannot afford a square meal a day. And on other side of the fence, there are people who just dilly-dally buying food stuff which is more than enough.

I think in every developing country, there is always this kind of problem. So, economic problems can lead to poverty.
