Screaming for help for ages with a cupboard falling on me!

Why would anyone fix a cupboard that is a floor, not a wall cupboard to a thin wall merely with screws? I thought it was secure and had lots of food and glasses and all sorts in it and it was a BIG cupboard.
It is now an ex cupboard and thankfully I am not an ex me. I opened it and it began to fall off the wall. All I could do was try to hold it up and scream for help.
If it fell I could not get out of the way and I knew it had glass in. I was so scared and nobody came and it got heavier and heavier and eventually I had to let go.
Thankfully the damage was less than I imagined but I ended up with food all over the bedroom floor and kitchen floor. (They are next to each other,)
I was sooo shaken and told my landlord not to put the cupboard back.
There was injury though thanks to the Broken Glass. Not as much as I feared but I trod on some barefoot.
Now I read it over it sounds like a nightmare! Who in their right minds fixes a heavy floor cupboard to a thin wooden wall like that?

It was very scary. I really thought there would be a lot of broken glass. I am still amazed how little there was after all.

Thank goodness you were not more seriously injured. Sounds like your landlord is not the full ticket. I hope your foot has healed now?

The Jury is out on the landlord. The foot has a soft tissue injury and I seem to make it worse driving. Currently typing with it up.
