So the reason why people call and stay silent and hang up is because They are scammers see this is what happens when they call and it's silence they are actually collecting all of your personal information so it's best to hang up fast other times they are calling to have a telemarketing person talk to you but if they can't connect anyone they stay silent and hang up so this are the reasons for silent calls.

@Luis11 The ones that call me are bored so they like to make prank phone calls and they like to continue doing it that is why they do not say anything.

Yesterday, a person who introduced herself to be from my credit card company told me that she could have my annual fee waived. I told her to call back after two hours coz I was mobile. I knew it was a scam to get credit card information from me. And you know what? She did call back after two hours but I didn't answer the call.

I usually hang up calls when determining the caller is a scammer.

Utilize your caller ID. If you don't recognize the number, let it go. If it's someone you know, they can leave a message or text or something. Also, block every single number that is a spam call. They will call back from another number, but eventually when they never get anyone they go away. Don't talk to them at all. It's just easier that way.
