The journey of an entrepreneur is often a lonely one. Sometimes friends and even family don't understand the future you want to build for yourself. They will be the first to say that your idea won't work or that you are better off concentrating on your job. I get it and I won't stop supporting others who want to fulfill their entrepreneurial aspirations. I, myself have some which I still continue to work on. We have each other. Let us continue supporting each one. This pandemic has brought so much opportunities and people were willing to take advantage of it. CoViD-19 showed us that we can persevere and carry on. Supporting each other's business ventures need not cost anything. Sure, we can readily show our support by buying the products or availing the services being provided. Additionally, we can repost and share the posts of these businesses. We can like and leave a comment in their posts as well. Don't give up on your dream and don't just step into your future, leap into it.

@simplfred nice. Have you tried to monetize any of these two? I know myLot falls under the second but aside from myLot, have you done something else?

It's our old trait called 'crab mentality' that deters the entrepreneurs from prancing. Glad you are encouraging people to pursue their survival plans this pandemic, via small businesses. Yes, I do patronize the products friends sell on fb, like the home-made relleno, delivered hot and ready for eating. :)

That is good to know that you support friends. It is hard to start a business so any form of encouragement is much welcome.

@eileenleyva no culinary skill although I make a mean tiramisu. I have an online store, I'm sure that counts for something although I have not fully monetized and launched it yet.

@allen0187 Food businesses are thriving. My neighbors offer eggs, vegetables, smoked and dried fish, rice, fruits with free delivery at a minimum purchase of five hundred pesos. The bakers offer cookies and cupcakes. The older people make leche flan, lasagna, and many more. Any culinary skill? Or penchant in merchandise?

Yes, they are the ones who shut down the idea instead of supporting us. Like what you wrote... it really hurts!

If someone is selling something on Facebook that they have made locally I always share it to try to help them find buyers. I love seeing things others make.

These days even thought they're a bit pricey, I need to support local. We shouldn't pull each other down. If we want this country to be a better one, then we should help each other. Have you heard of Arapilak? It's a Puerto princess based shop that sells shirts and dresses made from flour sack! I ordered two dresses coz I remember how soft and comfy those flour sacks were. They were used as lampin for babies back in the 80s and I remember my baby cousin was wrapped in it. Good luck brother and my you succeed in your venture.

Agree with you about supporting local ventures. We may not be able to buy the items or avail of the services that others are offering but we can surely help in other ways.
