Sharing the Job techniques to the colleague is Good or Bad?

Today i have meet on of my friend for cup of tea, we had long discussion on Job opportunities which is very important in each person day to day life, he said to me there is lots of politics going on so i can't understand to whom to believe or not? later he told me i am training to my colleagues so that they can do best on job but i am not agreed with his decision so i have given him suggestion if you train everything then what will be your importance, in your absence no one need you and well you should train your colleagues limited, so at any point they need you. specially in company need you when company getting benefit form you. my question is that how can we make our job secure by sharing everything Job method to colleagues?

It's good that he is training his colleagues in the work they need to do. It's done all the time here. It's the only way people learn the job.
