One of Those Days

It did not even have to be a Monday. It could have been any other day of the week as far as I am concerned. It was just a difficult day for me because for some reason I felt very down. These things happen occasionally to me and I cannot understand why and what the real problem is. I got through the day all right but still, something was nagging on my mind. I figure it must be that for some reason today memories seem to crowd me and most things I see or read online remind me of certain things in the past. So I put on some music thinking that, that would help me feel better. For a bit it did, but then Johhny Cash decided to sing "Ring of Fire." Now this song takes me all the way back to high school, where one of my best friends had a Cash album she would play constantly and it had this song on it. That Reminded me of the good times we had and the fact that even my first love, my high school boyfriend has now passed on. And you know the rest it was back to the blues again. All I can say is, "Thank you, Johnny, but I do love this song." Have you ever been surprised by a song that suddenly takes you down memory lane?

Anything from the 60s and 70s brings a flood full of memories. Those were some good times. I hope you are feeling better.

Yes, songs elicit so many various emotions and fill our minds with memories both good and sad. My Mom loved Johnny Cash and Kenny Rodgers and those songs bring back memories of her to me.

I do not like listening to love songs. It brings back the bad moments with my ex from the past.
