Hi! Wow it has been quite the stretch of no-MyLot time. Things have been going....crazy for me.
I started training for a part time job that requires I go to an "academy" twice per week and read out of a textbook (like I am in college again!). Somehow I have made this work with my full-time job and with working overtime there.
My uncle, who was in hospice for ~20 days with end-term pancreatic cancer, finally let go and passed away a week or so ago. I was so so so sad, as he was like a second dad to me, but I really do feel like I am coming to terms with it. We had decided we were going to do a small "celebration of life" get together with a few family members and friends of the family and so we did that this past weekend. It was actually A LOT of planning involved with food, tables and chairs, center pieces, custom guest books, a photo board, drinks, etc. and then cleaning up afterward. Kinda crazy. Most of the attendees wore masks and kept their distance. I know it's not a good time for gatherings, but we did try to make it as safe as possible.
Things have been busy otherwise. I haven't had as much time to cook like I like to, to exercise, see friends, etc, mostly because of this new training for the part-time job. My full time work has also been demanding, with all kinds of different trainings and "to do's". It's kind of annoying because we had been at a stand-still ALL summer long, but now suddenly management is giving us 12 different internal tasks to juggle with looming deadlines.
It is officially Fall in Minnesota also. Temps have been decently nice out, with highs in the mid 60's for the last couple weeks, but moving forward we will be seeing lows in the low-30's! I am not personally ready for winter yet. Are you?
Otherwise, I will try to catch some of your posts soon.
How is everyone else doing? Any exciting plans this week?

I can't think of anything in particular ... just celebrating life in abundance (abundance I would not know if I didn't have access to the generous selection I have from the wide variety of communications available).
When you set up your home media network, you get to watch everything from HDTV to streaming web videos, movies & music FREE. Find out how to set it all up.
