I have a habit of taking the news that I consume from multiple sources. No single source of headlines and analysis can ever give you the complete picture - sometimes you have to get a pencil and paper out and make a few notes or calculations yourself. To this end, why would those that have to lead countries in this time of crisis not do the same? This one has done - calmly, collectedly, convincingly:

Ms. Merkel is an intelligent woman and she is clearly showing that she understands that the situation is serious. We also have a woman leading our country and she more or less told us the same last week.

They could well be all right, but some left-leaning and center ones are good to listen to now and then, just to temper the right-leaning ones

Always a good idea if possible - and also not believing the first headline you see!
