Foggy morning... A good harvest..

I woke up to a foggy morning at 5:30 AM. Seems like the rain stopped sometimes around midnight. Everything was wet and beautifuland I could feel the chill wind. I had to wear a light jacket to walk around my terrace garden, check on each plant like my babies( it has become a morning ritual for years now) and then I plucked some flower to offer to God during my prayers later. I did harvest these leaves that you can see in the picture here. I have good amount of spinach, coriander and dil leaves( soy herb leaves). This is harvest from two pots and some more will get ready in coming days. I will deal with these leaves after my morning prayers and breakfast. Now I have to head to shower after a good workout session that is making me feel good. Not much on plan for the sixth day into holiday. I will just go with my pace and mood. Will finish my crochet project in afternoon. Taking a break from deep cleaning chore today. My younger daughter wants me to read aloud some stories to her from the stories collection that I read yesterday. She enjoys listening when somebody reads. She is in High school now. Her dyslexia interferes with her pleasure reading time. Though she has developed a good reading skill with practice over years, she loves when I read it to her. That is less stressful for her and I love to do it for her I have all plans to spend a good time in cyberspace today. So definitely a good amount of mylotting is on my plan. Have a nice timeStay safe and happy.

I received an alert on my phone yesterday that it was foggy, but to my surprise when I looked out the window, it was sunny. Reading to your daughter is a wonderful thing to do.

@arunima25 My son used to read literature to his kids when they were young, young readers, and older readers, too. It gave them an appreciation of our language, developed their vocabulary, the rhythm of language and phrasing, and was wonderful bonding time. I always suggested that to the parents of my students, but they never bothered.

@DianneN Oh! I am on the same page of thought. When people ask me how could I keep my daughters away from screen and gadgets and how they enjoyed literature, I tell them that I developed their interest in art and reading from a very young age. And reading to them every night was really effective. I give same suggestion to parents but only few follow it. Even my own brother and his wife didn't take it seriously.

These weather forecast can be misleading at times. I am enjoying this reading out loud to her. I can actually see her enjoying these stories.

I love reading and I always enjoy reading aloud as a mother and also as a teacher. Story telling is most favorite part of my profession.

Very easy. In fact growing green leafy veggies and herbs is easiest. I get enough harvest every week. I have not bought them much in last few years.

what a lovely harvest :) i tended my parsley jest the other day. do ya dry much 'f yers? grasshoppers dined 'pon the other greens 'n herbs. whilst i silently cursed the ferals layin' out'n pots, 't seems they saved my parsley. such'd not sprouted 'til july, lol. i can empathize with yer daughter, bless her. 'tis sure a battle. i've a aqua colored screen thingy here which aids quite a bit. seems we've (dyslexic folk) our own color way which works the best. my eldest grandson 'lso dyslexic, though he does best with more reddish hues. i love listenin' to someone else read 'loud. gives a bit 'f 'flavor' to those written words :)

Sorry about the grasshoppers there. Yes color aids work well for dyslexic kids. When she was young we used red fonts for her. But slowly we weaned her and moved her to regular black prints that we get in regular books. She is doing well with them now. How old is your grandson?? Even I like it when someone reads the stories to me.
