Holiday madness on its way

Here are the holidays
October 23, 2020 7:20pm CST
Just a moment to say hello to all. Tomorrow is another birthday. Love the grandchildren but sometimes I'm like really you all had to have all your children right before the holidays? lol Five years ago I managed to have enough extra money to buy all the presents in the summer for the Aug, Sept, and October birthdays and Christmas. It was such bliss. Hopefully, next year I will be able to do that again. What is your coping mechanism during the holidays? Mine is wine sometimes lol Thanks for stopping by.

You could open a Christmas account where you deposit a certain amount every week,

For this year, I will just give money to my niece and nephew on Christmas day.

Considering my husband only gets Christmas day, and thanksgiving days off (store closed) it's like meh for us. Kind of just another day of the week.... we don't holiday shop, and I'm more than happy to avoid the stores during the holiday shopping season.

We have no children, so we have no grandchildren. Now that our parents are no more, we spend the holidays at home, only the two of us, without the stress to buy gifts, it's heavenly.

My little nephews have their birthday on 29 October. They will be 9 this year. Coping mechanism? I haven't got one!

Happy birthday to your relatives. You did well to save money for August, September and October. Christmas is always expensive as every family member wishes to have a present. Soon it will be my niece's 18th birthday.
