Do people need a nap at the middle of the day after lunch break?

As what medical experts said, if you are working the whole day (8hrs)at the office or wherever you are working, you must take a few minutes rest to gain more energy on your work the whole day. However, there are people who are not used of having a nap after lunch. Instead, some people spend their few minutes (before going back to work) talking with co workers calling and texting someone else. How would you utelize your few minutes after having lunch?

@Shavkat yeah perhaps... But it's really good in our body to have a "power nap" before continuing to whatever work you would have in a day... Thanks for your comments... Appreciate it

I think so, to recharge and it is like resetting of our minds. When I get rested I become more productive. Have a great day.

@luisadannointed that's right because without vitamins we couldn't get the exact amount of nutrients from what food we usually eat... We need food supplements and right vitamins

I am used to brief nap now a days. I was not having it when I was younger. Taking a nap now relaxes me a lot.

I worked through my lunch my last two years of teaching. That is one of the reasons I took early retirement. Before that I socialized in the lunchroom and had lots of laughs. My older son used to work through the nights and often fell asleep at his desk. He got smart and left for another more sane job.

@mcNathan The odd thing is that my son is a lawyer and worked from morning throughout the night. When his wife became pregnant, he left for a job with more regular hours and much less pay. It was the best thing he ever did. Have a good week.

Yeah...there are people use their lunch break time to socialize since they could not do it during working hours. Your son is health wise...a graveyard job is not a healthy job because every thing in your day lives ruins....thanks for responding ...

I have never been a napper. But I know many people who do take naps. I think it really depends on the individual. I get enough sleep at night and I think that's why I don't feel the need to nap during the day. Besides, life is way too short to sleep through it.

@nawala123 ohhh that was sad...how come your boss got mad when it is still at their lunch break? does it mean, you would work right away afte eating your lunch? if that is the way then your boss must be arrogant, rude, he dont care his employees to have a rest......thanks for telling me how bad is your boss....be safe always...

I usually work out during lunch break. There were times though that I couldn't work out so I take a nap instead.

I take a nap first, then have a simple lunch. I feel uncomfortable to sleep after eating lunch.
