And there was light!

I always fly into a tizzy at this time of year. It’s the darkness of the mornings and nights, and the shortness of the days that simply take the joy out of these months. I want spring and summer to last all year. But it never does. Light is the key. This year, thanks to COVID-19 any form of travel seems like a risky proposition. And suddenly it seemed like a really good idea to make some lighting changes in the living room area. Not small changes. It involved putting in three lovely chandeliers, and moving the old but highly inefficient fluorescent fixture over to the bookcase. This stopped the need for a flashlight every time you wanted to find a book. Oh, glorious light! What a difference it made! I bask in the chandelier glow, the light filled space. Yep, it cost a lot to get an electrician. Ditto to run the new equipment. But wow, my mental health is worth it. The joy is back! Is it just me, or do you crave light too?
