There is a lot of hoo haa about this at the moment and I am sure that my view is not going to be a very popular one....but I am entitled to my opinion …. I believe that if you have a child or children then it is YOUR responsibility to pay for them ….food, clothes, living space ….the whole kit and caboodle !!!

I understand when people need temporary assistance due to a disaster, loss of a job, etc. but I don't agree with people who live off the system all the time.

Yes you are entitled to your opinion like everyone else is. I agree if a person has a child it is their respondsability to feed them! But sometimes especially in a time like this they parent/parents need help!

I agree with you. However, I do believe that social programs like food stamps are there for when people hit hard times to help them get through it. The ultimate goal should be to get off of food stamps, not consider them a lifetime benefit. Our society needs to do better with getting people off of assistance instead of trapping them on assistance.

There is no doubt about it, parents should be responsible enough for their kids. Though sometimes it is sad that there are parents who have no time for their kids.

Yeah right. That's the responsibility of the parents. Or if they don't have money they can borrowed to someone who can help them.
