So as I sit here, sipping my coffee. I find myself following this election. Even being a Canadian. I'm still curious!
Wondering if it's ever going to end? Not sure if votes even matter, because popular vote never seems to be focused on. Just those electoral votes. Seems a little odd. Guess we'll see how it turns out. If it even does this year. As this rate. Who knows!
I sometimes think they already pick a winner before the Elections.
I personally am not a fan of either of those guys, but if I had to pick one. I'd say Biden. What about you? Not trying to start an kind of argument here. Just curious!

This election cycle will close either today or tomorrow, of course, the voting ended yesterday. A lot of people are going to be disappointed regardless of who wins.
Yeah, that electoral college thing needs to go away. But there have been many attempts to rid ourselves of it already. Maybe there will be another push, but it is unlikely to go anywhere just like the previous 700 + attempts. So long as one side perceives that it gives them some kind of an advantage, they will not move to be rid of it.

I agree with you re. the electoral college - it's a relic of a bygone age, as is the whole of the US Constitution. The Americans would do very well to tear it all up and start again from scratch.
I am very happy to live in a country (the UK) that does not have a written Constitution - it strikes me as by far the most sensible arrangement.

Yeah, I bet a lot of people did that. I ended up going to bed past midnight. Gave up. When I realized nothing was going to be done with it last night. They are saying could take up to Friday. Silly!

I think we need to go with the popular vote. That is the true will of the people.

@x0MandyLynn0x I wish they would change it. But you still need people to vote for each state to declare who is getting the votes in the state.

Yes I agree! Last year I believe Hillary had popular vote, but it didn't matter. So not sure why anyone even votes...

Right! I'm glad you agree. I don't like how Trump belittles women so much, along with many other things.

Honestly, I feel like the entire government needs a sweep and to get rid of the way the system works. But, the lesser of two evils is indeed Biden. I just hope someday the US can get their BLEEP together!

The day they seem to get it together, will be a day of miracles!

@indexer The bullying of Trump did more to force Europe to advance on many points (From EU army to EU taxes) than what was done in the 20 past years. He is against multilateralism, and is leaving every international treaty from postal union to WHO. So if he wants to pollute his country what can we do except to forbid to our companies to participate (and we did it this week again)? Anyways his attitude is not viable on the long term. For example his blocking of the WTO has already started to backfire.

@x0mandylynn0x I’m a very sensible person so faced with a straight Biden/Trump choice it’s obvious who I’d vote for.

@x0Mandylynn0x Poor USA. They have to choose between Tweedledee and Tweedledum. I do wish they’d get on with it though. It became boring as soon as it started.

Oh my! This comment is great!! I feel bad for them, that's for sure! I really hope life gets easier there, seems so hectic! Don't have much hope for anyone less fortunate though, is Trump wins.

I fell asleep with the TV on, it took so long to come to a conclusion. Still it's day three and still no final decision. I'm in one of the battleground states and so far, my state is undecided.
