Did Donald simply give the wrong speech?

I surely cannot be alone in being somewhat puzzled by the speech Donald Trump gave in the small hours of Wednesday morning. In it, he complained that the Democrats were stealing the Election, which he had already won. Faced by "a massive fraud on the American people", he would be taking matters to the Supreme Court. However, at the time he said this, neither candidate was anywhere near the 270 threshold for victory, vote counting was very much in progress, and there would have been no reason for anyone to have committed any sort of fraud. There was no opportunity for anyone to steal anything, and where exactly did Donald imagine that this had happened? It strikes me that this speech would have made far more sense at a much later stage, when the Democrats had reached the threshold only because the mail-in votes had been counted in certain states and these had reversed previous Republican advantages. In other words, was Trump's speech already prepared for just such an eventuality but he blurted it out at least 24 hours too early? Did he have another speech in his pocket but he delivered the wrong one? Just a thought!

The orange wizard has a track record of trying to put doubt into the election process, He has been doing this since before he ran in 2016. This morning was just more of his bluster. I will be so glad when the counting is finally done (tomorrow maybe?) and we have a winner.

It has been pointed out that Americans can no longer criticise cricket on the grounds that it goes on for days with no winner!

@cperry What? I am confused. The democrats did that for THE PAST FOUR YEARS! It was all about Russia. Did y'all suddenly forget that that was YOUR claim for the entire time Trump was in office, that it was rigged, that there was collusion, that it was invalid... I am really scratching my head here.

In simple Trump fashion, I believe Trump was simply giving a speech that was given by the democrats and by Hillary Clinton for the last four years. Hillary has said MULTIPLE times that Trump cheated and she won. No one ever got their panties in a bunch over HER speak, so why does Trump's speak seem so intolerable and foreign?

Hilary conceded - Trump show no sign of so doing. Is that not significant?

@indexer Yes it's significantly noble for Hillary that she conceded. Then, complain, whine and collude with all sorts of things against Trump for 4 years. Trump's never-conceding to the defrauded 2020 elections for Biden is never gonna happen. Neithet 4 days after the election, nor ever. That's significant! @porwest

I've long since given up on what Trump says or thinks. I think it's possible he was scared he'd loose, which I don't really blame him, but.... I also take what he says with a grain of salt.

Maybe that's what happened! Heh. I wonder if young Donald took his ball and left in a huff when he played sports with "friends."

He's always been correct in every point in all his speeches since he announced he was running for Presidency in 2015. However manner he spoke each speech is up to each listener to think for himself or herself and decide for themselves, attend to Trump phenomenally attended rallies-- and they voted Trump in 2020 Election.

It all seemed so confusing. So who is the President the old Trump or the new one that I don't even know much about?

@ondexer Not wishing to be crude, but methinks it’s from somewhere other than his pocket that Donald pulls his speeches.
