When many things happen in the same week

I live in England and in the winter we have a cold climate. To heat my bungalow I use gas central heating. Though it stopped working. So a heating engineer came out to fix it. It cost 118 pounds. I thought mending it would get my shower working because that also broke. However my shower won't turn. Today my car wouldn't start. So I had to push my son all the way to school in his wheelchair. I took a bus home so that was fantastic. I don't want to take more money out of my emergency bank account.

That would be a nice christmas present...an excuse to do no washing, eat everything in the fridge and then order takeaway

Oh, no on Christmas Eve. That must have made an extra expensive Christmas and then your 4 year become sick.

That's a lot of unfortunate in a week. Hope next week will be better for you.

You are totally welcome. When I was 21 years old I traveled through your home town. I was on my way to the island of Sumatra where I saw Lake Toba and stood on the Equator.

Dianne N. I am so happy as my car cost 30 pounds to be fixed. The two men sorted out my shower for free. Therefore I feel much better about my week.

118 pounds for a repair work is exorbitant for me, but I guess it is normal there, is it?
