Trail Cam Pictures: The Second Critter

Our second critter that showed up on the trail camera was one that we expected to see. Many times when we get back home after dark we can see deer out in the field grazing. This doe looks to be a nice size and I'm sure she has a few friends that visit with her on some nights. Before we had any dogs here they would feed under our big oak tree in the front yard. All we had to do was watch them from the window in the den. This hasn't happened since lost doggies found their way here and bark when they see something unusual in their yard. I hope everyone is having a nice morning/evening!! The sun is about to peek out here. © 2020 Karen Gros, All rights reserved

aw, sweet :) 'pets' 'll sure screw with yer wildlife. the feral cat population here 'tis completely out'ta control 'n 's done much damage. 'd be nice if'n they jest meowed 'nstead 'f followin' natural 'nstincts. they're free-fed, with'n all ya can eat buffet 24/7 so aint huntin' from hunger. a bit blustery 'gain today, though the temp most temperate fer the front comin' through. a bit 'f a 'bite' if'n ya go outdoors this eve.

The man has left the card out for a couple of days now. We didn't have anything new on it on that round. I need to make him a list of things to do tomorrow. He's fallen behind now that he got the heater fixed and his new taillight lens on his truck.

@wolfgirl569 Well hubby realized this morning that he didn't replace the seal around the door of the heater this afternoon. And said we were out of pellets but I think we had a couple of sacks left from last year. I told him well we will need the heater tomorrow night with the cold front. You better get busy!! And that seal needs to dry for at least 24 hours, probably more with our lovely humidity.

It's a Boly #BG490-130M. We got it off Ebay. It's not expensive at all. Be sure and surf that one, huge variety in prices.

Your deer sound like our kangaroos. If nothing frightens them, they feed closer and closer to the house.

Yep! One of the houses down the road has a feeder in their front yard. I used to love passing by there at night and seeing all the deer there. They haven't been filling the feeder in the past couple of years.

It's in the 70's here. I had to put the AC on when I ran to town to mail Ebay stuff today. I hope the cold stays away for a few more weeks! Not ready for it!

@kareng It could stay like this all winter. I have no problem with that! Great picture by the way.

I have a woods directly behind my house and have often thought of putting up a trail cam. Maybe I will ask for one for Christmas. Mostly there are deer back there, but we have had fox and turkey...honestly, it wouldn't suprise me to see almost anything back there.

We have turkeys here too and also coyotes. Have had a fox run over down the road in the past so they are around here too!

Set up a trail camera really a good idea. And you live in a good environment. If you see deer here, you won't see it for the second time, because people would hunt it. People here are barbaric like that. The last Monday, teenagers around here found a little python, it wasn't even reach a meter. They killed it and play with it.

We have hunting clubs north of us and the land behind us is leased to hunters. So we are in the same predicament there. Not anything I can do since I don't own the land.

@kareng humans are the most dangerous creature in this world. We could destroy everything without any reason.
