Fall Leaves in Deep South

We do not have much of an autumn here in the south. So when we do see some golden, orange or red leaves we get excited.
When I went to the post office yesterday I noticed that the Crepe Myrtles there had turned yellow, orange and red. I had really never noticed that Crepe Myrtle leaves even changed colors in the Fall. Most of the trees here have the leaves turning brown and then falling off. Same with pine needles, which we have a lot of pine trees down here.
Sharing our little bit of Fall with you since I found some Autumn leaves! Are the leaves pretty in your city/State?

Very pretty. Our fall colors are gone; and the leaves are almost all off the trees.

@LindaOHio Thank you and we are hoping for no snow on it!! That would cause a problem!

Thanks for sharing. I live in one of the New England states , and we are known for our changing leaves. I was a leaf peeper this year with hubs. We enjoyed the beautiful colors in our own yard, on drives, and on a trip to Vermont. The end is near.

@kareng 'tis predicted warmer'n drier, the drought to deepen. i keep lookin' fer a switch to turn the winds off, 've yet to find one. 'tis blown most e'ery day, all day'n night, since january. no worries'n those myrtles, 'lways shocked they'd still be livin', lol. one comes out'n spring, the other a tad lazy. nary a sign'f life 'til june.

@crazyhorseladycx Wow, they stay pretty here just about all year long. We had some gorgeous ones at LSU at my old work building. I remember when the college proposed cutting them down and the director of our institute put a stop to it.

I know what you mean. I just remarked yesterday that the leaves haven't turned yet, but today I saw a few. Those are pretty in your photo.

They were, but our trees are becoming stark and bare.
I'm glad you have beautiful fall colors.

I love seeing falling leaves. I love to sweep them but we don't have Autumn season here except when there's a typhoon that keeps leaves to fall.

That's really simply beautiful. Leaves at here just look the same all day because we don't have autumn.
