Good day friends
Today I went to town to buy food. I have noticed that more and more people are wearing masks on the street. This is a small town, but there are more and more patients every day. Today we had over 3,500 new cases and 21 deaths. Tomorrow, the crisis headquarters will have a meeting and they may introduce new measures, but I don't think they will introduce anything special.
Is the situation better in your country? Are you in quarantine? Are you scared?

It is still going up here. Sad to say that when you do go out somewhere here you see at least 1/3 of the people not wearing a mask. I think as long as this is the case, the virus will continue going up.
We are no longer in quarantine. We only go out when we have to. I think now it is up to using your common sense and apparently a lot of folks have none!

@Nevena83 Well the servers and other people working there do wear masks. And you should be sitting with people in your household who you know are safe. Social distancing is done here and tables are all set 6ft or or apart so that is about as safe as it gets. Now you have to be responsible for sanitizing your hands and especially if you visit the restrooms.

Our country is out of control thanks to the current president, who thinks it's rounding the curve. My state is climbing, too, in the number of cases and my former school system shut down in another town. There are 14 people with the virus in my town last check. Stay safe.

@Nevena83 Initially it does but it is putting off the inevitable. It is a delaying tactic to slow the spread until a vaccine can be found that is safe and effective.

@garymarsh6 Sometimes I think we will all be infected in the end.

@Nevena83 Our own state went into lockdown at the very beginning of the pandemic. No-one was allowed in from our eastern states and anyone coming in by air went straight into quarantine. Regions were locked down until numbers were very low then gradually opened up again. We can mostly go where we like now. Social distancing is strongly encouraged and mostly enforced. The lockdowns have been very effective.

I haven't really gone anywhere since this whole thing started since I am high risk. One friend who is a nurse got covid but thankfully recovered. Today my mom called to inform me that my brother has gotten it. His daughter and wife just got tested. I don't know what the results are for them are yet. Hopefully they don't have it.

@Nevena83 Sometimes I am, yes. My anxiety can take hold from time to time. I worry about it somehow managing to make its way to me. I certainly wouldn't survive it if it did. I worry about my husband getting it as well since he is an essential worker.
But something that I need to focus on when I feel that way is the fact that I am healthy at the moment as well as my husband. Right now there is still hope. Letting fear grip me all the time doesn't help anything, and in the end it is bad for my health in the long term. Taking every precaution is important, but no guarantee as my brother has shown me. The most I can do and perhaps the best thing is focus on the here and now and try to find little joys and pleasures that comfort me when my anxiety and fear returns and recognize that there are things I have no control over. I have made it this far and I like the odds that I will make it tomorrow and even the next day.

@things4gotten I know how you feel. Fear can really ruin our lives. It is best when we occupy our thoughts with some beautiful things.

Yes, I think it's best to beware, but sometimes I think there will come a time when we will all be infected. Are you afraid?

@Nevena83 thank God because if all gets worse again, I might end up losing my job.

@GodServantme There are people of all nationalities in my country. In the capital of my country, there are many restaurants, different cuisines, but in smaller places, cities do not have that to that extent.
