Update on my Cousin Just Now

My cousin has been moved to a regular room. She was in ICU for almost two weeks. The ventilator has been off all day today with no major breathing problems.
They have inserted a feeding tube for now. Still taking it a day at a time. All I know is that she has many conditions which may have all led up to her need for the ventilator, and for her coding twice.
She has heart problems, CHF, COPD, high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, asthma and kidney failure. So far that is all I know. The nurse gave me the good news just now. And she is only 61 years old.

61 is very young. I hope she continues to make progress and I hope that's what you're implying.

@Letranknight2015 yes. Most she's are too young to be real sick you just wait until you get closer you'll understand.

@CarolDM That is a shock and a lot to digest at one time. My best friend from high school has been in the hosptial. She coded several times during by pass surgery. She never knew she had a heart problem but went to ER because she wasn't feeling right. It's a good thing she did.

Well, if she has all of that, no wonder she coded twice. She must really want to live if she's only 61. (a year older than my husband). Glad to hear she's doing better. Hopefully, she's out of the hospital soon.

It sounds like she was a smoker, terrible thing to do to your body...but glad she is recovering.
