I have been suffering from mouth ulcer. I didnt even know how this happened. Normally i would get this if I bite inside my mouth accidentally. But I didn't remember bite my lips. Eating and drink are problems now. It hurts so bad and my lower lip is swollen. I know it would heal eventually. But I really want it heal sooner. Do you know any medicine for this? How can I reduce the pain?

I had a mouth ulcer many times mostly when I accidentally bite my mouth. I use coconut oil. just apply little coconut oil to the affected area it'll heal soon.

@lilianharp I know, what I mean is they are from coconut. Some people make coconut oil from coconut milk, the other make it from coconut meat (I don't know how to call it, it's the white part inside of coconut)

This sometimes happens from stress, too much sun, or too much acid in food. Then it gets worse because it is swollen and you accidentally bite it. Here I drink an herbal tea made with lemon balm, (melissa) for it, or I take extra B vitamins.

sometimes mouth ulcer develops when you have a throat infection or a bout of common cold. Honey is the best local medicine for that. If you have any external bruises cold cream should help. Best way to consult a physician.

Do you have Bonjela in Indonesia? Work well curing mouth ulcer. Also, I use Listerine to prevent the ulcer from happening too often. credit : Wikipedia

@Cheyee Did you ask the doctor what you need to take for it? I a sorry you have that and it is hard for you to eat and drink. Does aspirin help you feel better? Is it an ulcer or canker sore?

@Cheyee I understand why you are not going to either. Can you talk to the doctor on the phone and ask him or her? Maybe they are the same thing.

@Hannihar our doctors don't do online consultations. It's been a long time since the last time I got canker sore. How long does it usually take to full recovery?
