Have you started putting up Christmas lights?

On our usual night walks I noticed that a few houses already had Christmas lights showing out of their windows. They put it up mid-November. I thought it was a bit too early. Have any of you put up your Christmas lights as yet?

No, we don't even have Christmas lights but I do have some fairy lights. Perhaps this year we'll put some up.

@pitstop I think we'll wait till we're a week or two into Christmas. There will only be four of us for Christmas dinner I think. There doesn't see much point in putting anything up too early.

No. Won't bother putting any decors. Haven't been doing it past couple of years so no plans of starting now.

I think it's way too early to decorate for Christmas. Several houses around here have, though.

Here in our country, some put up christmas lights as early as september. But in our house, we don't put up christmas lights or a christmas tree anymore. Been like this for years.

@pitstop The market or the mall. In out country, there are always lantern sellers somewhere in one's vicinity.

Yes we have started doing a bit of Christmas decorating, our tree is up and we're starting to put lights up outside but we have a lot. I think people are doing it early this year to have some Joy and happiness after the year it's been, Christmas is a happy time of year.

No, but then we never put lights up outdoors, and only rarely indoors. It seems a waste of power when we are trying hard to switch off unnecessary lights etc the rest of the time! However some local people have decorated their houses with lights, they already started about a week ago.

The LED lights usually consume very little power.
