I had my dental procedures today. I am confident that the dentist did her best to make things easier and safer. The only thing that I felt panicky about was when she coughed a bit. Well, she moved in a distance right away. She is in complete gear and nothing to be worried about. I still need to see her next week on Monday.
Are you going to panic when a dentist cough?

That is indeed awkward and you will feel uneasy that your dentist did cough up. But I think for as long as he is wearing the proper attire when she was treating you then you are safe. The air she cough out are all trapped in the mask she is wearing for sure.

I don't think I will ever look at a cough the same again. Though I don't believe that I would necessarily panic, I may very well be concerned.

@Shavkat We all should try to be balanced. Yes, remaining calm is very good but we have to be alert and cautious.

Had my prophylaxis also recently. My lady dentist is in full PPE. I was also covered with washable PPE and headgear.
No worry if the dentist coughed a little. She just needed to breathe, I think. It was not a bad cough, was it?

@Shavkat Check out her condition by calling before going to the clinic. You cannot be too careful when it comes to your own health. If she is all right, fine, you can have your procedure. If you could postpone it though to another week, just to be sure.

I don't go in a panic when anyone coughs because it's usually due to allergies.

@MarshaMusselman I can determine if it is different. For the reason that I am in the medical field, too. I am saying it humbly.

@Shavkat I don't know that we would know what type of cough it is behind the masks.

It would have been far worse if it was you who coughed while she was doing the procedure :)

Hmmm, it might bother me a bit. As for myself I hate coughing or sneezing in public these days. You might start getting some disturbed looks.

Well, I guess there's nothing to worry about since she was in complete gear and she moved away when she coughed.
