Has it snowed yet this late fall in your part of the world?

Everyone is all atwitter here with the possibility of snow on Monday, but I just saw the weather report and they said..a 30 percent chance!. Boo, I want some snow! We got none last winter, although interestingly, when I went to the shopping center about 5 miles North it was snowing in their parking lot. It seems to snow along that highway many times, and once you get a few miles south where I live...it stops. It is disappointing for snow lovers like myself.

@sophie09 It feels very much like ice but is usually more granular. Some snow is powdery however.I grew up in snow country..and have experienced all kinds of snow.

I know a few states up north have had ice and snow, but I doubt my part of Florida will see any. This winter /fall hasn't been as bad as predicted, yet. It's December and we're starting to see our first signs of winter weather.

@snowy22315 We had a thin covering in the hills this morning - I knew that would happen because my right ankle always plays up when snow is about to fall. Never fails,

@snowy22315 Some of us are just gifted that way and have no need of the weather lady.

There has been a couple of snow whisperings but nothing super awful. I find it very hard to drive in the stuff so I am grateful for all the days it keeps away from my world. Plus I must walk out and feed the hens every day, blizzard or not.

It hasn't snowed here yet, and I don't think it will ever be lol, because we live in a tropical country which only has two seasons to enjoy, but I'm planning on going to Japan, enjoying the chilly rides in the lonely city of Hokkaido, what do you think?

We had a rather unusual weather system over the UK yesterday and the forecast in my area was for sleet but we woke up to about half an inch of snow! In Edinburgh they had 'thundersnow' - thunder and lightning during a snowfall which muffles the thunder and makes the lightning seem much brighter. Several people thought that there was a big explosion somewhere!

Interesting. I think thunder snow has happened around here from time to time.

I saw on winter forecast where we were supposed to get some on Christmas. That would be awesome.

I am pretty sure my parents got dumped on. They have a snowblower though so they should be OK. Worse case scenario, they would call friends or relatives to help out.

@snowy22315 Probably. I'm glad I don't like near the Snowbelt in my state. I hope the snowblower and salt helps melt the snow and ice for them.
