Finally Some Good News

I don't know about you but if I don't know what it's about I just hate getting letters from government institutions. When I got the letter from the Socia Security administration I thought to myself - Now what? However, this time it was good news. As of January, they are throwing some additional dollars in my pot for me and my SS will be a bit higher. For that, I said thank you, Lord.
Of, course the person who wrote the notice has some issues with English. At the end of the letter, the way it is written is that in December I don't receive my SS but the new amount comes in January. What they should have written is that the new amount will figure for my SS in January and meantime I am still getting the previous amount. That is not how they wrote it but I know better they would not dare hold back my SS before the holidays. Tomorrow is actually like a holiday for me not only does my SS arrive but for the first time I will order groceries from Aldi,

I am overjoyed I also got some extra money from my writing and I will do just fine over Christmas and the New Year, of course, this is not the most joyful times for me but I manage and I am thankful to the Lord I know He watches over all @LadyDuck

I just ordered from Aldi here I used to go through Publix and I can tell you that is you sign on to Instacart service and order from Aldi you will be glad you did because I got about half more groceries at cheaper prices through Aldi than I did through Publix @Namelesss

I was just saying that through Instacart service from Aldi I got about half more groceries for less money than through Publix and I am satisfied with the quality @Janet357

My SS has already been deposited into my bank account back on the 2nd of this month, I wonder why yours comes so much later.
Dang, I haven't heard a thing about a cost of living increase, I wonder if it's only happening in a few states.

In our place, those who work in the government received 2 months refund for the supposed monthly loan amortization. The amount can be a big help. We also receive additional bonuses because of the holidays.

I haven’t heard how much my postal service retirement is going up yet but I’ve seen the increase for my VA pension. And my health insurance through the post office is only going up $6 a month so I might actually get to keep some of this!!!

I haven't received our notices as yet; but I know that we're getting an increase. Let us know how your order goes from Aldi's. Are you ordering through Instacart?

I got a 'raise' too!! I hope Biden goes through with refiguring how the SS is given which would include high rate of meds and insurance!

@GreatMartin congrats to you too and isn't it interesting that now we do have some extra we can spend. Do you have Seven-Eleven stores there. I just got an email notice these convenience stores are also now delivering which is odd for a convenience store but they do have pizza so who am I to argue
