@giannna I had my father at hospital today because of his dementia. It can only get worse and he knows that which is upsetting.

I wish her all the best. My mother-in-law has it, and my father-in-law passed away a few years ago from it.

I somehow can understand your situation as tough one. I am fortunate that I didn't have any experience that one except for my Mother in Law that was slowly going towards that. She passed away already but I had a few years that I was able to witness her slow degradation from reality. But it was cut short when she had a heart attack that shortened her life so it was just a few years that I was able to witness that. I saw her change from one mood to another and her being catatonic at times which is worrying as well.

@Giannna Need a lot of patience to her. And as time progresses it would be very hard as it will definitely get worse.

I went through that with both my mom and my dad. It was tough time but I look back with fondness at the time I spend with them, right to the end.

My grandmother developed it in her old age and passed away at 96. It's awful at any age. I'm so sorry for you and your mother.
