I thought this pic might be interesting for you mylotters who don't have snow. This was at my sister's place where they got several inches of the white stuff. Feast your eyes! I have another image as well, but I couldn't seem to post it with this one.

When it does snow here, it seems it is most common in February.

@snowy22315 It often snows around Christmas, one year we had to renounce to go to Milan, it was the Christmas day and we had planned the lunch with the family.

That's pretty much what it looks like here. Everything is covered in white....let the shoveling begin

Oh yeah, If I lived in a place where it snowed regularly I would invest in a snow blower.

You can only put two photos if you do a collage of both or you can put the other photo up under a comment.

@MarshaMusselman Glad sis has a short driveway and they are sorking from home. Their son is home from college so my guess is hd will be assigned to shovel.

@snowy22315 that's a nice pic to but the first shows how many inches roughly there was.
We had a smidgen of snow last week but nothing since then. It was snow and ice. I'd rather get a tad more snow for better traction at least for my feet.

That is a very interesting picture.
I do not think that we have ever had a snow storm that has dumped so much all at once like that.
We usually get a few inches (at most) and then lots of wind which just makes havoc of visibility and lots of cool looking drifts.

I find that somewhat hard to believe you are not that far from Buffalo after all, and they get wallopped! 3 or 4 feet there is not that uncommon.

@snowy22315 The very edge of the storm was just west to us. The pressure created from the Great Lakes usually protects us from any storms that the east coast get, as well the storms and winds normally track from west to east.

The region here had some freezing rain, I went west today,,,just a few miles from the house the ice was still clinging to the trees. It was like a fairy land. NW of Charlottesville, there was less than an iinch of snow on the ground.

@snowy22315 Even an inch can be dangerous. We had icicles, too, and a good foot of snow. Higher in snowdrifts. My husband went out to check on our son and his driveway. The streets were all clear. I expect ice tonight!

The other picture I had was even prettier. I just thought this one was more graphic to show how much actually fell.

We don't get snow here, so yah, it's quite fascinating to see what other folks do see outside at this time. What I see outside our window would definitely melt all that. Oh but how I would love to see a real winter in the yard !

If you do a collage then you can put several pictures here but if you do not then only one. I grew up with very harsh winters and had lots and lots of snow so the picture does not make me want snow.

@snowy22315 Wow very nice picture! We don't have snow here in my country. We only have sticky mud right after the heavy rain and flood .

@snowy22315 I understand why you pick snow over mud Mud when it dries up is very difficult to clean up. One time our fire fighters have to come to our street to wash away with their powerful hoses black thick mud to make it accessible to vehicles and pedestrian.
