This is a non denominational Christian church in San Jose,California. You may have read in the news that although indoor church services in our area are prohibited, they defy the order and continue to have indoor services with many people and not wearing masks. They have accrued over $1,000,000 in fines for doing this. Really, they could easily do outdoor or drive-by services. They do not need to ignore the health order. The Pope says all health directives must be obeyed. It is not denying people to practice their religion by asking them to do it safely.

@Aquitaine24 I agree. I can not pull myself to go to the church physically. I heard it is possible here now.

Yes, many churches have a virtual mass. There are also masses on TV.

@Shavkat Some people don’t even like outdoor mass but what is wrong with that really? Some churches do that for sunrise mass.

@LadyDuck There are some catholic pastors who want to do indoor services but they need to follow the Pope.

Yes, that’s true. I thought Christian churches were supposed to encourage sacrifice when needed.

I agree with following orders. I hate to think of where these people go after they go to church.

I see this type of behavior in my area also. To me, it seems to violate some very basics Christian teachings to not contribute to the common good and take care of the health of others. Just don't understand how they can do this in the name of religion.

There was a church in Amador County that was rebelling as well, but I think authorities put a stop to it.

Ditto all the jerks who flew across the country for the holidays. Wonder how much longer they prolonged the shelter in place orders? We do without but they go on as if nothing is happening.

@Aquitaine24 You do have to wonder at their mentality.
