Going to the dentist

Good day friends I just cleared all the notifications because I hadn’t been very active the previous days. On Monday, my son and I had a tartar cleaning scheduled and during the examination my son found caries on 4 teeth on the surface of the caries, so he went at 12 noon today to fix it, it is now 5pm and he is still missing. I hope this will make him brush his teeth better. We had a real spring day here today, it was warm and sunny. Are you afraid of the dentist and do you go for regular check-ups?

Oh, I can understand your fear, because I'm afraid of the doctor. What is TMJ?

I had a mild case of that this post year but I think it's finally healed up as I can open my mouth again without my jaw hurting. If you let them know maybe there's some other way for them to work on your teeth to minimize tmj.

@MarshaMusselman Does that mean you can’t open your mouth very hard when you’re at the dentist?

Hope the warm day melted your snow. We go to the dentist every six months for cleanings. No cavities in years, but we skipped our October cleaning due to the virus.

@Nevena83 Glad the snow melted for you. The rain made ours melt, too. Happy you had no decayed teeth. What a relief!

Yes, the snow melted yesterday, because it was raining. I didn't go to the dentist for more than a year, but thank God there were no decayed teeth.

@DianneN Yes, whenever I go to the dentist, I think about whether I will have a broken tooth.

@Nevena83 Going to the dentist is probably one of the few things I have done during this virus. I have tried to avoid past dentists and then got a new one so after the dental hygienist takes care of me before the virus I had to see the dentist afterwards. During the virus I only see the dental hygienist because I have known her for a long time and like her and prefer just one to see when have to go.

@Nevena83 I had a dentist and he moved from where he was to a new place and he left and did not like the dentist I got so switched to another and really kept putting off going to see her. That is nice that you have the same next for a long time. I have to go every 6 months because my teeth were not in good shape and now I take care of mine so have to go no matter what is going on.

I have had one dentist for 21 years and it makes it easier for me to go there, but I don’t go often. Before this I was more than a year ago.

That's really good. My son has much nicer teeth and a nicer schedule compared to me, and I care so much, but again I have more problems with them.

Well, there was no need for anesthesia, because the caries was only on the surface.

I used to get twice a year checkups but this year had none because of covid. I thought when they got caught up they would call me but they never did. I finally made an appt and it should be soon. This reminds me to call them to find out when it is.
