Antibiotics make him hungry

My husband complained about his getting hungry easily because of antibiotics. I've said it is part of his body reaction. When I take antibiotics, I lose my appetite. Am not sure if some of you has the same reaction.

I usually lose my appetite when I am sick, particularly if I have to take antibiotics.

For sure you also lose weight when are sick. I lose 2 pounds at least.

Depending on the medicine, it can have differing affects. Depending on the medicine, I tend to react differently. Once the course is over, his appiate will sort itself out.

If I am really sick and take some medications, I usually lose my appetite to eat.

i think it is a natural reaction. losing appetite when we are sick.

When I’m ill, I lose my appetite. I haven’t been on antibiotics for over 11 years - knock on wood. Hope your husband gets well soon.

I notice that also, I mean I get hungry easily especially if it's a high dose of antibiotics.

I guess it's different for different people although your husband is better placed because eating more does help when you are sick

Antibiotics have higher doses and the effect is much stronger.

I lose my appetite too, but then the last and the only time I remember taking antibiotics was after I gave birth, so I didn't have much of an appetite for hospital food anyway. But I guess it really depends from person to person.
