Day 145
Promise 604
2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remains forever.
10 Now he who ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.
Everywhere you look, you see want. People hold out their hands asking for help. There is the legitimate need and those who seek your donations for their causes. People give to those who genuinely need but scream at those who hold out their hands for causes, especially when it comes to the church.
Paul told the people to give to those in need and God would meet their needs.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (KJV)
Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
The biggest complaint about giving is giving tithes and offerings to the church. People consider it throwing their money away.
1 Corinthians 9:7 Who goes a warfare any time at his own charges? Who plants a vineyard, and eats not of the fruit thereof? Or who feeds a flock, and eats not of the milk of the flock?
8 Say I these things as a man? Or says not the law the same also?
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treads out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
10 Or said he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he who plows should plow in hope; and that he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless, we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? And they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
As Christians, you know your tithes and offerings are your gift to God. When you give to the needs of God’s people, you give to God. God doesn’t ask for your tithes and offerings because He has a need.
Psalm 50:7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most-High:
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
When you give to God with a cheerful heart, He will provide everything you need. You can call on Him in your trouble, in your want, and He will supply you with everything you require.
Isaiah 65:23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
The world will call you a fool for giving to God, but God will provide everything you need when you do.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for providing all I need. Help me never to withhold my hand from those in need or fail to give back to You according to Your provision. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Just now when I read this whole post, this post of the Bible, was more like a poem.

It's more blessed to give than to receive. I give what's due to the Lord for tithes and offerings.

Maybe even God has some needs of his own.
Here he is talking about if he was hungry.
Maybe God is more like us than that which we think then.
It seems that he might even eat, and drink, as we do.
His kingdom is not of the Earth, but the things of the Earth, seem to be in there too, in his kingdom.
