Ever since my husband and I stopped traveling and moved into an apartment, I've seem to have lost interest in being on FB. I still have my account in order to check on close family and friends every once in a while. But, I don't get online as much as I use to and when I am online, I'm working on my art and photography websites. I'm enjoying my own little private world now. I do watch tv a lot, but there isn't much to do around here and that's ok with me. I actually enjoy being here on mylot much more than I do being on fb. I've been called anti-social which just made me laugh. I mean really.... have you seen the world today? I don't consider myself anti-social, only cautious. Do you think that distancing yourself from social media and events is anti-social? I personally don't think so.

I am the same - I keep my Facebook account mainly for my parents and siblings who live 9,000 miles away from me. But I am no longer active on there. If I want to share pictures, I send it to my close friends and family on messenger.
I have been called anti-social too by those who I do not hang out with as often as before. Personally, I do not consider myself as anti-social, but a selective social. If I do not think it is worth my while to spend time with you, then I will not waste both our times. Does not mean I do not like your I have something against you - it is just I chose my peace and sanity first over the looming drama that toxic people may bring.

I'm exactly the same way! A "Selective Social"..... I like that!

I only use FB to see pictures of loved little ones that are far away. I have always been interested in close family and good friends. And here I have found several online friends that meet all those requirements.

It's because of the friends and family that I love and care about that I remain on fb and I have made amazing friendships from my nomadic community. I use to be on fb all the time when I was living in my van. But now, with a stable place to live, I have so many other things I spend my time on.
